Aduana wins G6 tourney

Aduana Stars beat Hearts of Oak 4-3 on penalties to win the second edition of the G6 tournament on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. The game ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Hearts of Oak scored first through Patrick Razak in the first half but Aduana pulled even courtesy Nathaniel Asamoah’s sublime finish in the second half.

The Phobians had a free day in the first 10 minutes of the game – they dominated Aduana Stars as the likes of Isaac Mensah and Patrick Razak caused a lot of problems for the Dormaa-based side.

The Accra giants continued to mount pressure on Aduana Stars and their hard work and determination paid off as they struck the first goal in the 17th minute through Patrick Razak after Joseph Addo palmed off Joshua Otoo’s diagonal free-kick.

However, Aduana turned the tables in the second round and their efforts paid off when they got the equaliser.
