Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah believes there is quality among the Black Stars to produce some magic moments as they prepare to take on Uganda in the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier Friday.
Mensah, who is steadily progressing in Anzhi Makhachkala, stated there is no way the Cranes will have it easy in Tamale, but they [Black Stars] must work harder and produce good results against all the teams in group E dubbed a difficult group in the African qualifiers.
“Despite being a home game for us and it is going to be a difficult one. We have great players that will make the difference against Uganda. We have to overcome Uganda first before we can talk about Egypt and Cameroon.
“However, we will keep fighting as a team to get to the World Cup for a fourth time”, he told Starr Sports.
Ghana defeated Uganda 2-0 the last time the two sides met in a World Cup qualifier back in 2005 with Michael Essien and Matthew Amoah getting the goals for the Black Stars.
