Odartey’s Ex-wife Loses Law Suit

An Accra High Court has dismissed a motion filed by Gloria Appiah, the ex-wife of former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey, a 50 per cent share of his assets.

According to the court, having three children outside the marriage was “adulterous”.

The divorce between the former Coventry player and his wife has dragged since 2013. The couple’s marriage hit the rocks when it was revealed Odartey’s three kids were all not his.

Justice Cecilia Don-Chebe Agbevey, who presided over the case on Wednesday June 14, quashed the motion to have Odartey give one half of his fortunes to his “adulterous” ex-wife.

Ms Appiah was ordered to vacate the footballer’s seven-bedroom house at East Legon within a month, but was however given a property at Dome.
