Paa Kwesi Nduom Suspends Campaign; Mourns Eva Lokko

The 2016 flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Ndoum, has suspended his campaign following the death of his 2012 running mate Eva Lokko on Thursday October 6.

Dr Nduom has also cancelled his scheduled speech to the nation on Saturday, 8 October 2016.

His speech to the nation was expected to focus on “creating a just and disciplined society, providing employment opportunity for all, delivering quality education for every Ghanaian child from KG – SHS, a comprehensive health scheme that will focus on preventive health care, sustainable power generation plan, and transformational leadership which will guarantee reforms in our state institutions and ensure that we bring an end to corruption”.

Dr Nduom said in a tribute to Ms Lokko,  that “Eva and I had promised each other not too long ago to put our health and personal lives before politics” adding that “there is more to life than politics”.
