Reconstruction Of Tamale Shea Market Near Completion

Reconstruction of the Shea market at Tamale is progressing steadily with the help of the government, Alhaji Issah Mohammed Habid, the contractor working on the project, has disclosed.

1-9944473The market, when completed, will have over 90 lockable stores, a supermarket that will contain 120 shops with three multi-storey shops.

Speaking in an interview with Mohammed Abdul Dahim, Class FM’s Northern regional correspondent, Mr Habid said the project, being undertaken under the Industrial Sector Support Programme, stalled earlier this year due to financial challenges but support from the Ministries of Employment and Labour Relations; and Trade and Industry as well as the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly ensured that the project was continued.

Mr Habid was optimistic that the project would be completed soon to serve the people.
